SHOOT + SHADOW

Hey there!

First off, THANK YOU!! I am so tickled that I get to meet some of the most talented people in The Nashville area and share with you a behind the scenes view of my shooting and directing style! I can 1000% guarantee that investing in education is the best way to grow yourself and your business!

so what is shoot + shadow?! Let me start here - I learn best by watching and then doing! gimme all the tactile learning that i can get!! So that’s exactly what Shoot + shadow is all about! We’ll get together at sunset and while i photograph some gorgeous models, you’ll shadow me and observe my tricks and techniques and glean new ideas to add to your already awesome session flow repertoire! And then each photographer will have a few minutes to photograph the models and use some new shooting techniques they’ve been wanting to try!!

This is a no stress, encouraging, coming together of like-minded women who want to better themselves and their session flow in order to better their business!

and when i say: no stress - i mean it y’all! there is enough stress in the world right now - this is going to be FUN, HELPFUL, and a breath of fresh air! My prayer is that this will give you that extra boost you need before heading into the busy fall season!!

a LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:
If you had to put me in a box and describe my photography style, I’d say I’m a family and newborn lifestyle photographer! But i don’t like boxes - i like spaghetti… everything intertwined and overlapping! even though my clientele is mainly families and newborns, I also photograph a lot of high school seniors and a lot of couples and occasionally products for companies! i believe that no matter what your subject is, your session flow and your techniques when shooting are an integral part of what we do as photographers and they all overlap! my session techniques with couples are just as playful as when I photograph a family with a 3 year old - i just end up chasing the 3 year old alot more than I do the bride and groom! haha!

i’ve been given the opportunity to photograph over 200 families and over 75 newborns, and i’ve learned ALOT along the way, and i’m still learning! not every session is perfect and not every sunset is dreamy, but no matter the circumstance, i give 110% to my clients no matter what AND IT’S MY GOAL TO give them the best experience and images as possible!

FUN things ABOUT ME: I love coffee with cream, FRIENDS reruns, running, Jesus, mexican food, DIY projects, funny people, and most importantly - my three favorite guys: my husband and our two boys, Beckett (4) and Brady (1)!

shoot + share, the deets:

Monday august 10th in the evening (probably around 6pm)
plan on it lasting about an hour
bring your camera and yo cute self!
location: in franklin/nashville area! i’ll let you know once we get closer to the date!
will we stay socially distanced?: yup! you betcha! 100%! while you shadow me, i ask that everyone keep a safe distance apart from one another! and then when it’s your turn to shoot, you will have your own private time with the models while other attendees take headshots of each other or just chat it up, from 6 ft apart of course! safety for you and the models is my #1 CONCERN! i won’t high five you or hug you, but i’ll cheer you on with all my heart!!
cost $150 - $75 deposit is due via venmo upon booking (@Brigette-billups on venmo), the remaining $75 is due August 9th!
is there a max of attendees? yes - 10 photogs is what i feel is the max number of photographers that can safely shadow + shoot the family!
can i swap photos/ headshots with other photographers there? YES! This is a great chance to get some new shots of yourself to use for social media!
can i ask questions? absolutely! i’m here to help you! so ask away! i will give the caveat that this isn’t a full blown mentorship, so when it comes to more technical questions about shooting or the business end of things, this isn’t the atmosphere for that! BUT you can always book an online mentorship to ask those questions after the shoot + shadow is over! i’d love to work with your further to help you build your business!!
